Please pray for a thirty-year-old man who has lived under the strong influence and control of his parents, especially his father. Because of this, he struggles to make independent small decisions and often feels the need to seek approval before acting. Please ask God to open his eyes to any unhealthy patterns especially the family and generational ones which may be limiting his growth, maturity, and ability to build healthy relationships as an adult.

Pray that the Lord would give him wisdom, humility, discernment, and the courage to become the man God created him to be. Ask God to break through any of his pride, blindness, or judgment and replace them with understanding, grace, and self-awareness.

Please also pray for me. His words and perspectives have sometimes been hurtful and difficult to carry especially whenever he becomes self-righteous towards me and the world. Pray that God would protect my heart, give me patience and wisdom, and help me respond with grace. If there are truths he needs to hear, pray that God sends the right people at the right time to lovingly guide him toward freedom and growth.
