Having walked through a divorce 4 years ago now, I am still praying for my kids. I always wanted them to be near me and this environment of City Hills because of the spiritual growth I believe God has in store for us. The courts sided with their mother and she moved them 3 states away. This has been an extremely challenging time for me.

I have prayed for the Lord to lead me and if His will and direction. I’d move to be near my children, BUT I feel the Lord has directed me to stay. It doesn’t make sense to me sometimes, but I want to be obedient to the Lord above all else.

I am praying for continued strength and direction. I am praying for the Lord to work in spite of hardened hearts and that He would bring my children back to this environment of stability and spiritual growth. I pray for their mother and her boyfriend to have their hearts softened and that they move closer to Jesus and He does a work in their life.

I pray for acceptance in the wait, and pray my children be protected mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally everyday we are apart. The Lord is the best father of all and I know He holds us.

I’m Ashley. My family is out of town. A lady is supposed to look after our house. I hope that she contacts my mum or dad tomorrow (the 20th) or they contact her. My mum wants to return home but seems to have little respect for my dad’s health now (sometimes she does respect it) and I can’t pack that fast. I hope home is okay, hope that the furnace is still working, pipes are okay, that it hasn’t burnt down either (My parents decided not to take down the Christmas tree before leaving). My dad and I do not feel that well. Dad has it worse than I do, I think. Get my mum to see common sense and mental strength to go on. I’m disabled. My mum also wants next time that some of us stay where my family is now, and someone else stays at home, my mum says it is about the money, think that might be only partially true as my mum generally speaking has trust issues with people even with people who seem to be brutally honest.

I adopted my 8 year old when he was 11 months old. I have had him since he was 3 weeks old and still in the NICU withdrawing from drugs in his tiny system. I was, and still am, a single mom. He knows parts of his story and knows he is adopted. The last couple years, he desperately desires a daddy. It breaks my heart for him, as I see the sadness in his eyes when he watches his friends play with their dad. I know how much little boys need their dad. I am not sure what to even pray for him or how God might answer this prayer for him.

Please keep my family in your prayers. My grandson is having surgery Thursday so pray for steady hands for the surgeon.

Also, my family is facing should some financial issues due to having to be missing work for family illness. Our rent is due and even though I’ve got the rent money I don’t have the late fee and they won’t accept the rent money until the late fee so I’m trying to keep up with the late fee, but the late fee keeps accumulating so every time I get close they had another late fee so I feel like I’m just under attack in so many different ways by the enemy at this time and I don’t know where else to turn. I’m so focused with trying to pay the rent and putting all my money to that that I’m also overwhelmed with how to come up with other bills that have come and do I just need relief and guidance. This prayer is for my daughter. Her and her husband are from East TN. Recently moved in August 2025 to Panama City, FL to help another couple who was called by our Lord to launch a church.. The name of the church is Zoe Church led by Luke and Melissa Gladwin also from East TN. The church is to have the first service January 25, 2026. Since moving and especially here within a month of the launch my daughter has been feeling tremendous anxiety and impending doom, very physical to her body that has sent her to the ER a few times. We believe it’s the devil. For their little family he usually shows up by one of their vehicles not working when they are to serve or in a big matter for the Lord such as up and moving 2 states or even 5 states away from most of their family. This time it’s physical attacks. Please, please pray for the stronghold of the evil one to be broken and the attacks stop. She is a mama of 4 ages 6, 5, 2 and 2. She works full-time and is in her last semester of RN school, along with help launching the Zoe Church. And please pray for Luke and Melissa that the launch will be successful and that there will be a revival happening in Panama City. Thank you so much in advance.

Please keep my family in your prayers. I don’t know what is on the forefront, but the enemy is attacking us at every angle. I fell behind on rent and every time I get within grasp of being able to pay it, they tack on another late fee or something comes up, so please keep us in your prayers. My grandson‘s getting ready to have another surgery Thursday for his hearing and I’ve been missing a lot of work. We just need to be surrounded in prayers right now because I don’t know how I’m gonna make it through between rent and groceries and the surgeries and having to miss work.

Please pray for my supervisor and her family. She recently shared that her mother has been diagnosed with cancer and will be starting chemotherapy as soon as possible. While details are limited, the situation sounds serious.

My supervisor comes from a very close-knit family, and this is understandably a heavy burden for them all. She is a strong believer and has often said that her faith is what has sustained her through 20 years of serving vulnerable children.

Please pray for healing, strength, peace, wisdom for the medical team, and God’s nearness to her mother and the entire family during this difficult time.

"Pleas from a Desperate Father"

My oldest son is a student at UTK, and has found a church home in City Hills. He attends faithfully every week, and although we live in Colorado Springs, our family listens to online sermons from City Hills every week. Although we live half way across the US, we still feel like a big part of the City Hills family.

This urgent prayer request is for my youngest son -age 13. At age 5, he was diagnosed with a childhood brain tumor in the central region of his brain. After 7 neurosurgeries, 6 weeks of radiation treatments, 6 weeks of hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatments, and countless scans and procedures, He continues to amaze us every day and we're extremely thankful for how God has provided through the deepest valleys we could ever imagine. Although he has shown extreme resilience and a strong faith throughout, his body has been left with lots of disabilities that plague him on a daily basis. He lost 77% of his vision due to destruction of his optic nerves, his pituitary gland was destroyed by the tumor causing severe endocrine challenges, he developed an autoimmune syndrome likely as a result of overwhelming his immune system through all of his treatments, and takes over a dozen pills a day and daily injections just to survive.

Through all of these challenges, he maintains a positive attitude every day and his faith is extremely strong. He gets straight A's in school, he loves playing basketball and golf despite having an extremely narrow field of view (blind in one eye, and sees less than half out of the other eye), he faithfully attends youth group and FCA, and he loves his family deeply.

I'm asking for urgent prayer requests because we just recently learned that he failed his hearing test at school. While he is 7 years post radiation, it's not uncommon for pediatric brain tumor patients to experience hearing loss from delayed radiation effects. With a child who already has so many disabilities, and a child at age 13 who has gone through more medical procedures than most people will go through in an entire lifetime, we ask for prayers specifically in two areas:

1) That his hearing loss as a result of delayed radiation effects will be minimal and non-progressive (not get worse over time). For a child that is already considered legally blind, he relies heavily on his hearing to navigate the world around him.

2) For miraculous healing throughout his body. For his sight and hearing to be fully restored. For his devastating daily nausea to be cured. For his energy levels and metabolism to return to normal. And, for his brain to be fully restored and for him to live a full and joyful life free of any tumor recurrence.

The Bible is full of stories of Jesus performing miracles, and healing individuals that suffer from severe medical afflictions (blindness and other conditions). Jesus also tells us in Matthew 17:20, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (NIV). He also tells us in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them," emphasizing God's presence in united prayer.

The last 8 years of his journey we have chosen to keep largely private, and we've only shared his struggles and our struggles with a very small group of family and friends. As our faith has strengthened, and as our dependence on God for everything we have has become abundantly clear, we are for the first time ever asking for prayer warriors to rally around him in a big way, we're asking for God's will to be done in his life, and we're asking for God to perform a miracle in his life and heal him completely. We believe in God as the ultimate Physician and Healer, and we love our son so, so much.

Please help pray for him as you feel called to do so. Incredibly thankful and forever grateful for the support of the City Hills family...... Thank you so much!

Please pray for my brother. He has struggled with seizures on and off for much of his life, and recently the frequency of these episodes has increased.

He is currently trying new medications and undergoing various tests as doctors work to better understand what is happening and how to help. Please pray that the tests would reveal something helpful and lead to an effective solution. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the doctors as they search for answers.

Most of all, please pray for complete healing, that the Lord would restore his health, bring an end to these episodes, and give him peace and strength.
