DAY 11 — January 14

HOW TO PRAY THROUGH THE PREPARATION

Isaiah 40:31 — “Those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength.”

Preparation is God’s training ground. While people often resist preparation, longing instead for immediate fulfillment, Scripture shows that God prepares before He promotes. David learned courage in obscurity, discipline in shepherding, and faith in hidden places—all of which shaped him for future battles.

Isaiah 40:31 describes what happens when a believer submits to God’s preparation:

1. Renew Your Strength

Waiting drains human strength, but it increases divine strength. Renewal is not God giving you back what you had before—it is God giving you what you will need next. Strength rises when surrender deepens.

2. Renew Your Vision

Waiting clarifies perspective. When things slow down, God often brings into focus what was previously blurred. Vision that comes from God often emerges from stillness. Many people later realize that preparation seasons helped them see what truly mattered.

3. Renew Your Surrender

Waiting exposes motives. Preparation brings them into alignment. Surrender is not a one-time event—it is a daily posture. As God prepares you, He invites you into deeper places of trust, deeper obedience, and deeper willingness.

Preparation transforms believers from worriers into warriors. It aligns the heart with God’s pace, shapes character for future responsibility, and strengthens faith for future battles.

Today, pray:
“Lord, renew my strength, sharpen my vision, and deepen my surrender as You prepare me for what is ahead.”

Journal Prompt:

How might God be preparing me in ways I don’t yet understand, and what posture is He inviting me to take in this season?
